Anne Walker turns stories into songs. Then the poetry and melody deliver those stories straight into the heart. On Sunday, September 27 she'll be sharing some of these stories at her annual concert as part of The Coulson Concerts. She'll feature songs from her five recordings, some from her extensive unpublished catalog, and a few new surprises.
Anne was raised on a small farm right there at Coulson and these roots in a country life are evident in the contemplative nature of her music and the quiet strength of her words. Often drawing comparisons Kathy Mattea, Connie Kaldor and Anne Murray, Anne's rich voice lends itself well to the variety of her material. And variety there is--a pleasing blend of folk, country, ballads and blues. And there is humour! Anne's performances, while intimate and thought-provoking, are buoyed up by her sense of joy and her lively wit.
